WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR NEWBORN ONLY THE BEST WILL DO, SWITCH TO MERINO FOR SUMMER - YOUR SLEEP WILL THANK YOU!
Our stunning Summer lite-weight merino collection has all the warmth benefits that newborn babies need to regulate temperature, it's soft and ultra light-weight (in fact it only weighs 84 grams, compared with an average cotton wrap which weighs about 95 grams - it feels a little like muslin cloth), so you get natural merino that is lite enough to layer with whatever you want; for example: during very warm Summer nights, you might like to wear just a nappy underneath your night-gown.
Our beautifully designed gowns are made from soft, warm merino and ideal for your brand new baby. They really are the perfect start before you begin to think about sleeping bags or blankets and are a great item to pack in your hospital overnight bag. Plus they are designed to fit from newborn to approx 6mths, so you get great value for money.
Our envelope neck is designed for easy fit and our generous length will allow for plenty of kick room or for those extra tall babies. With a drawstring at the bottom to allow for easy access at nappy changes, night times will be so much easier for mum and dad. And as with all our Baby Caterpillar garments our night-gowns are machine washable and able to be tumble dried (on a cool setting).
Our knotted beanies will generally fit from newborn to approx 3/4 months old, and are designed to fit, so they don't fall down over babies eyes. Simply tie the knot to fit your baby's head and adjust the knot as they grow. The knotted hat are perfect for day time strolling and all out and about activities - just make sure you don't sleep your baby overnight in a hat (as they may overheat).
Try to forget everything you know about wool - when it comes to newborn babies MERINO WOOL is the only choice. It doesn't matter if it's the middle of Summer or the heart of winter, merino will work, like magic, to regulate your newborn's temperature.
"I wasn't sure about using merino wool for my baby, who was born in early December. However a friend told me that she used merino wraps for all her babies and gave me one to try. I didn't take it to the hospital, and they gave me a non-stretchy, rough cotton cloth to use, as soon as I got home I switched to your wrap, and never looked back. While I didn't buy my first one, I have certainly purchased many, many more since 2014 " Julie G Paterson - Sydney Australia
